Food Security and Healthy Food Access
Food security – the assured access to healthy food is critical to family and community wellbeing. Food secure families and children are healthier and better able to thrive at home, school, work, and in their communities.
In Extension, we work with state and local partners to help build a foundation that supports food security for all households, we conduct and share research to better understand food insecurity in Wisconsin, and we implement programs to improve access to healthy and nutritious food.
